Mohair Panels Jacket
Issey Miyake rust coloured mohair panels jacket from the 2007 Autumn/Winter collection. It features a shawl collar, ribbon tie fastening, extra long sleeves with button tabs to adjust length, two waist level pockets and is covered in panels of twisted orange mohair fabric. The jacket can be worn also on the reverse side, this features a striped design in earthy reds and browns with glimpses of the mohair visible underneath.

Designer — Issey Miyake is a traditionalist at heart, his designs are a mix of East meets West and harness the best of both the beautiful traditional Japanese clothing and Western aesthetics. He is best known as a master of fabrics, from soaking cotton in freezing waters to give unique texture to inventing the permanent pleating he is world renowned for. Since the very beginning though his concept has been the relationship between body and cloth and how through movement they can become one. And this totally unique concept is what breathes life into his incredible designs.
